Lower control arm
In order to remove the lower control arm/replace the bushing,does the brake caliper have to be removed?I have'nt looked at it,but if I need to remove the caliper,I'm going to service the brakes/order brake partstoo.

If the bolts are seized to the bushings it can be a pain. I would at least have the bolts on hand when doing the job. I have seen them removed with a torch but the rubber around the bushing burns and is quite messy. The other way is to cut them with a [/b]die grinder with a disc(you need a large size diameter) or something similar. On the frame one you would first break the bolt free. It will spread the subframe a little if the bushing is seized to the bolt then cut(cut through bushing and bolt) it off but leave enough of the bolt to get a vise grip on. You will mostly have to heat up the threads to get it out with a vise grips. I used to work next to a Honda Tech at a dealership and watched the various ways jobs were done. I did all brands of vehicles for the used car department. [/b]
