Default Maintenance at high mileage

Alright so I’m looking at picking up a 2004 Honda Accord 2.4 5 speed. It’s got 241.000km on it right now. What are some common problems I should look for when inspecting the car. Also wondering what maintenance should be preformed when I purchase the vehicle. Thanks for the help in advance

The 04 accords are pretty solid overall, but you are purchasing an 18 year old car, so look at the common items on all cars, so tires, brakes, suspension. The age of the battery. Rust depending on where you live. Before buying, test every electrical item in the car to see if it works.

There is an ericthecarguy video on youtube going through inspecting a used car.

It may be worthwhile to find a shop that will do a used car inspection.

Ask the current owner if they have records of the maintenance items like oil change, trans fluid change, spark plugs, valve adjustment. This will give you an idea of how they took care of the car.
