One more question.
It says
FRONT BRAKES 2MM REAR BRAKES 5MM. **RECOMMENDATION**
(1) FRONT BRAKES WORN TO SENS OR $179.95
(2) BRAKE FLUID FLUSH AGE $84.95 MILA GE
(3) TRANSMISSION SERVICE MILAGE/DIRTY $44.95.

What does it mean??
To change the front brake pad, they charge me $179.95??
Is the transmission service = to the AT fluid you mean in the above thread??

Can I do all of these outside?? can the brake pad and fluid flush, and transmission fluid flush fix outside??

it means that they are saying that you need to replace the frt pads, tranny fluid and brake fluid flush...

179.95 ,, to replace frt pads is way way too much ,,unless they are going to resurface the rotors as well...

frt pads cost about 50-55 dollars from dealer, like i told you before installing them is real easy , go to the DIY section in this forum and read up on it ..

3 qts of ATF-Z1 is around 17 dollars ,, you might find another shop to do it cheaper,, buy the fluid from dealer and take it to another shop...

brake flush is about right as long as they flush and bleed the complete brake system..and not just suck out the old brake fluid, wipe clean the reservoir and fill it with new fluid ..

Ok...not to hijack this thread but.....

Deserthonda, does the maintence schedule you stated for the 2004 accord carry over to say the 2002 accords. I'm look at what I need done and that looks like a good list to follow.

hello brad.....same thing,,,,,,,,it is however a bit harder to replace the cabin filter in your car, you got to remove the glove box to get access to it ..

I'm not real worried about that....if I understand it correct it just filters the outside air??? I'll deal with the dust and pollen...

since it catches dust and pollen etc if you start to get some funky smells in your car it may be the cabin filter... I'm sure there are plenty of people who will never replace it but it's a good thing to do...

It sucks so bad.
I went to a private place to do what deserthonda recommended me to do.
It is basically tire rotation, brake fluid flush, A/T transmission fluid flush, change the brake pad, and coolant flush.

I think it is pretty simple things to do for a shop.

But when i get the car, it is so dirty, both interior and exterior.
And I hear an extremely loud rattle sound inside the hood. I told that guy, and he opened the hood, and find out he forget to tighten a screw. And on the way I drive back home, I still hear some rattle sound, but it only happens sometimes. I guess he didnt tighten another screw tight enough??

Can I go to the dealer and ask them to check ???

First off , the only repairs that you HAVE TO DO at a dealer is only the warranty work and you do it there because it is FREE..
You can pick and choose any shops to do the work on your car , and it WILL NOT void the warranty at all...I would have a shop that specializes on Hondas do the work,, I would not go to an all around shop ...First off they might not use good quality parts and when it comes to diagnostic they are a few steps behind ,

That was what i wrote on the second post answering you...

did you take it to a shop the specializes on HONDAS ?? all the work that they did is pretty easy work to do,,

I feel bad that it did not turn out too good for you..
that is going to make the people that say DEALER ONLY add another feather to their cap..
