Default maintiance light

I have a 92 ex and the green maintiance light thing is on what does that mean cause it has been on since I bought the car 3 weeks ago. I have done a tune-up and it is still on, do I rest it somehow. Sorry for the stupid question but I do not have the manuel.

Thanks

Please correct me if I'm wrong someone (I have a 92 lx), but the green is good. I recall my manual saying when it goes red, that means maintenance is required. Mine always shows green.

I could be wrong though.

I think that eckhart is right, but to reset the maintainance light all you have to do is put your key in the slot next to light and push in (lightly)

green is good. yellow means it's almost time for an oil change/routine maintenance and red means pull over and do it now!

I think it is set up for 7,500 or 5000 miles (whatever honda recommends), so if you change oil every 3000 or so miles you'll never encounter the other colors...

.. red does not mean pull over and do it now ,don't scare him,,,, the light is just for maintanance,, honda put it there as a reminder to car owner to take car is for service...

if you do the maintance at regular interval, the tech should clear the lite,, but like other member said ,, it cames on every 7.5k miles ..
if you do not want to do regular maintanance,, just do as Agent,,, said ...

Yeah, I was exaggeratting quite a bit [8D]. Red just means it's time to have the service done.

If you have the maintenance done at a shop that doesn't deal with hondas, you may need to reset the indicator on your own. I know that was the case when my neighbor had his oil changed at jiffy lube.
