I have a 1993 Honda Accord

For the past couple weeks I have noticed that the passenger side carpet gets very damp. I thought it was just water because the windows don’t close all the way and it’s rainy in Oregon. But the past few days I also started noticing a thick white smoke coming from under the hood after 10 mins of driving.

I refilled the oil which was near empty and I noticed that the coolant was also empty. I refilled that and when I checked again today the coolant was empty again. There is coolant all over the passenger side carpet and underneath the front right wheel area.

Does it seem like this is two separate leaks? Or maybe a busted heater core? Is there any chance that something is just clogged up and there is an easy fix for it? Or should I just take it to a mechanic. I don’t think I have the skills to replace a heater core.

Getting to the heater core requires removing the dash, so you may want to take it to a mechanic. Have spare coolant (or water) to make sure your radiator is filled. Overheating the engine could lead to a very expensive fix. Since you are low on oil, keep oil with you too. Ask the mechanic to locate the oil leak(s) as well.
