Default Major Problems......(long)

Ok so several months back my 96 accord with an F22b2 engine would not stay running. But it was sparatic and would only do it every once and awhile. Well after spending a weekend checking everything I could I could not figure out what was causing it so I threw in the towel and called the local dealership and took it in. Well 3 days later they finally figured it out. The tech said he worked on it for two days straight and couldn't get it to fail or to repeat the problem and when it did he couldn't figure out why. So I didn't feel bad for throwing in the towel. Anyway they told me that it was the "ignitor", cap , rotor, and the coil. Well they wanted about $800 to do it so I told them no thanks I'll do it my self. So I went over to checker and got all the parts, 20mins later I had all the parts replaced and the car was back up and running. It has been that way since I fixed it, no problems at all! Well last night on my way home the car felt as if it was misfiring, and then it started to lose power. Well I managed to get it off the hwy and shut down so it started right back up but then it died right away. That happened a couple more times and then it just wouldn't start at all. So I found a ride home and got my truck and dolly and got it home. When I was trying to get it started again to get it up on the dolly all I could smell was gas, so I figured it was not getting any spark. The other thing that was happening is the Check engine light was flashing. Now it has been on for quite some time now due to P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (bank 1). Well once I got it home it started right up and I drove it off the dolly and parked it in the drive way no problems. So I got out my code reader this morning and decied to see what it said before I just started throwing money at it. Well when I scanned it this is what I got....

P0108...Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
P0420...Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (bank 1)
P0301...Cylinder 1 Misfired Dectected
P0302...Cylinder 2 Misfired Dectected
P0303...Cylinder 3 Misfired Dectected
P0304...Cylinder 4 Misfired Dectected

So my question is what the heck is going on??

Do I just need to buy a new MAP Sensor and all will be well? But I would hate to spend $80 and it not fix the problem....

Any thoughts, suggestions, ideas.....

I would definitely test the map sensor first.

Unbolt the map sensor and clean any crud that may have built up in the sensor and passage with a q-tip or pipe cleaner. There is also an o-ring that may have lost its seal. Clean electrical connection as well.

The map has a three pin connector. Turn ignition switch on and test for 5V on the yel/wht wire to ground (engine block). Also test for 5V from yel/wht wire to grn/wht wire.

OK I cleanned it up and just put on a new o ring and then tested for 5V on the yel/wht wire to ground and 5V from yel/wht wire to grn/wht wire. And both came up with 5volts.

Sorry...no it didn't. But after checking a few other things I found out that I wasn't getting any spark form the coil. So I'm hoping that I'm under the 3 month warrenty and am going to try to get it replaced tomorrow at lunch.

Check to make sure the coil is getting power. Just in case the coil isn't the real fault.

Let us know if that new coil is the answer to that problem...
