Default RE: Map Light question

there should be a plastic cover to the side that will pop loose with a small pocket screw driver, under thatare 2 phillips head screws to let the assy drop down. Or it could be that the plexiglass lense will pop off using a pocket screwdriver.I honestly don't remember ever changing one of those.
Be sure the replacement bulb is the same wattage, a higher wattage bulb will create more heat andcould melt the plastic in the bulb holder area.

Here's what happened, my wifes 92 accord; the dome light bulb went out and I was a cheap charlie and didn't want to pay $4.50 for the Honda bulb, so I went to the parts store and got a bulb that fit. So one day she was vacuming out the car with the doors open, she came in the house to tell me something was burning. Found out the higher wattage bulb had melted theplastic baseinside the dome light. I had to replace the entire assy and buy the correct bulb.
