For the 04 LX Honda Accord are the map lights the two lights by the rearview mirror supposed to come one when ever you open the doors? Cause for as long as I had the car They never did and I thought it was normal but then I had a friend who said they are supposed to come on just like how the dome light does.

 

Look for a switch near the lite I think it has 3 pos. try middle one

 

I think you push on the light itself to switch on & off. ??

 

Obviously. I'm asking if they are also supposed to come on when ever you open the doors just like the dome light does.

 

Try the button thing and anything else that works..Your's isn't working so try the suggestions given..

 

For my 2005 accord, the map lights do not ever come on unless you press on them. True story.

 

For your LX, the spotlights/map lights only comes on if you press them. For an EX or EX-V6, there is a switch option to have them come on when the doors open. Refer to the owner's manual, image attached.

I didn't know about that switch either... My 2003 was an LX.
