moonroof stuck in closed position for 2 years
I have a Honda accord 2008. bought the car 2 years ago. moonroof didn't work back then and I hadn't repaired it. Finally, I decided to do it myself. It's in closed position but won't open. I have checked the 20A fuse at #20 under driver side fuse box. Fuse is fine and gets 12V & 14V respectively without and with the battery. I receive 12V at one of the pins of the 12P grey connector inside the switch console. I want to know if I can isolate the problem to switch issue, or CPU issue or motor issue. What pins of the connector can I jump to test these? & what needs to be done to repair these issues.
Moved your post to a new thread.
The green wire should have 12V on the plug to the moonroof motor.
If you jump the light blue wire to ground on the unplugged connector for the switch, that should bypass the switch and command the motor/control unit to open the moonroof.
I think you should get the shop manual for your accord. You can get a pdf from automanualsource.com for ~$22 and is definitely worth the investment for this kind of work.
