my clutch quit on me again!?
here it come again... my clutch is quiting on me for the 3rd time. i have already replace the master clutch cylinder twice, once by my brother half a year ago and another time by a local auto shop 3 month ago. today i tried to bleed the slave cylinder to release some air pocket and replace the fluid, yet it's still no use. the clutch has pressure when i step into it but the pressure didn't hold and make this squish sound. i m driving a 6 gen accord 98 and wonder if anyone can please give me some pointers on what to do next. thank you!
is the fluid low on the clutch reservoir ??? have you been adding fluid ??
if yes there is a leak chk all the hydraulic parts....( master. slave, hoses etc etc )
do as Poorman suggested chk the slave cylinder. pull the rubber boot back and chk for leaks ..if no leaks you might have a bad clutch master cylinder
by the way did you use a factory honda part ??

Thanks for the replies and sorry about the confusion.
I am have problem with the hydraulic clutch system. I check the slave cylinder when i bleed and replace the dot 3 fluid out of the system. There were no leakage when i push the rubber boot back. The reservoir is full.
As for if i am using the factory honda part .... i have no clue. I order the part from a local auto supply store. I give them the info and thats what they give me. Do you think its the genetic part that causes this issue...?

Have a friend push the clutch in, are you getting and movement at the slave? If not you are going to have to trace back the issue.
Oh, Please add your car info to your signature. I'm old and have memory issues, so I had to stop and go back to the top to remember what car you have.
You talk about bleeding the system, was that the last time ot this time? Please be sure to check the clutch mast push rod for proper adjustment.

today i just bled it a second time.
this is how i bleed my clutch.
-open the cap of the clutch reservoir to check for air bubbles when bleeding and for refills
-connect a clear hose from the screw of the slave cylinder to a bottle fill with a bit of brake fluid (dot 3)
-have a partner hit the clutch 3x and hold it down while i loosen the screw to release the fluid and air.
-tighten the screw than signal my partner to release the pedal.
-repeat this process till no more air bubble are floating up through the reservoir
-make sure the reservoir is never empty and check for leaking by looking for stains on the floor/ dripping.
-inspect the rubber boot on the slave cylinder by pushing the boot to the left to check for leaks
conclusion:
No dripping under the car, flood is clear, rubber boot is not leaking, master and slave cylinder looks dry, and the clutch's pressure on the pedal feel the same. But i notices whenever i hit the clutch pedal al the way, there are pressures but when it reaches 1 inch above it's limit, the pressure begin to disappear, making a sound. At that point air bubbles flout up from the reservoir(screw are tighten). The pedal is stuck.
note: to poorman the slave have movement and i will check for the adjustment on the rod. Thanks ^ ^
