My first ricer intake in years...
and I goof it up. put it in Monday, noticed it was making a weird noise yesterday so tonite at 330am my time I went and popped the hood. I bet these things work better when they dont uninstall themselves from the TB
10mins later and some tightening in the cold with a flat head and she is ready to rock again.
I guess I should expect this since the pipe was only 40bux and the filter was 25. oh well now I have an excuse to pop my hood every now and then.
I just cant believe it ran at all the last couple days but I guess that's the advantage of a speed density system vs a mass air.
PS would this have affected my gas milage? cuz I only got 120miles to a half tank of gas. my car is a auto but I expected more when I bought this thing.

Altered intakes cannot improve fuel economy in any-way-shape-or-form; theoretically or otherwise. They are capable of a tiny bump in power up near redline when at wide-open-throttle, however, there is often a commensurate loss in mid range torque.
