mine also stinks - 18-19 /city....but low miles (2K) - hoping for better...I attribute it to a heavy car w/ small I4 motor, and auto trans - oh well, love the car otherwise....

The fuel lines run under the left side of the floorpan, in a bundle of 5 tubes. Mine corroded & they sorta became porous. It wasn't like they dripped, but they just stayed wet as the fuel evaporated about as fast as it leaked.

If the lines are nice & dry, don't fixate on just the one possibility. I'm suggesting you check to rule out leakage. Check to rule out dragging brakes. Check to rule out anything else we can think of.

My 97 SE gets about 26 in town with mixed aggressive/efficient driving and CEL code P0420... Usually about 320 miles to a tank... Highway though gets about 29 to 32 with easy driving at 65 to 70 mph

Default New 2011 EX-L Gas Mileage

Hi,
I just drove my first week with my new EX-L and I was very disappointed to say the least. My new Tahoe a huge V8, years ago got 23mpg/18 city, and my new Honda, much smaller and a 4 cylinder got 25 this week, where it was about 1/2 highway driving and 1/2 city-stop and go traffic. I will be curious when I drive it on the highway for a trip this summer, but am significantly disappointed when it is listed as 23/34 on the sticker. But otherwise love my car. I don't think I would have bought it though these days, knowing it did this poorly in reality.

20-24 city depending on aggressiveness and 32+ highway with no cruise control. I can easily get 440 miles out of her on the highway before my gas light comes on.

96 Accord ~33mpg driving is usually 35-45mph no stop signs. I guess thats the sweet spot.
