Hi folks!

I have a 1991 Honda accord 4-door, and a dopey little question which has stymied me. Help!

I went in to take my California emissions test, and they told me that my car had an automatic fail because of a burned-out dashboard light. I need to change that light bulb so I can take the emissions test. But I can not figure out how to get to the bulb.

Here are my questions:

• Am I right that I have to remove the instrument bezel, the clear plastic instrument cover, and the instrument face plate in order to get to the bulb?
• Do I have to remove the whole dashboard in order to remove the instrument bezel? If so, how do I do that?
• There are no visible screws that I can see that go through either the dashboard or the instrument bezel. Are they hidden somehow?

I lowered the steering wheel, but still couldn’t figure out how to remove either just the bezel or the whole dashboard. I thought with the steering wheel lowered the bezel should just pull off, but I yanked on it and it didn’t seem to come off.

Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

The entire gauge panel comes out as a unit when proper fasteners and trim work are removed. Suggest searching this site FAQ's for help and also downloading the manual from Online Manual links in FAQ section.

It is relatively easy to do w/ instructions, but you can damage interior if you don't know what to do.
