As most of you guys know honda has issues with playing cd-r in older models. I have a 00 accord coupe and the cd player wont play them..just ejects. Some that do work, take a long time to start and if I press next, the next track wont start for atleast 20-30 seconds.

Now, there's a guy selling a sound system from a 02 accord on kijiji. He says he never had a problem but I dont know if I should blindly take his word. SO 02 accord owners, do you guys have that issue too ir was that fixed by honda that year??

I dont want to install a new deck b/c i would lose the steering wheel controls

On our former 1998 Accord, I had no problem playing CD-R music. As long as it was recorded with settings of "DISC AT ONCE" and "CLOSE DISC" which make it impossible to add more music to the disc later.

(I had to use those settings anyway for an older CD player in the house.)
