Default any 96 ex owners, i need your help! small vac line?

I noticed a loss of power the other day and decided today to change spark plugs, replace the air filter, and clean the throttle body. while doing this i replaced a couple vac lines and found this its sitting under my air intake and not bolted in its correct spot and this line is hanging open any one that has a 96 ex or knows a good bit about them i need to know where this bolts at and where this line is supposed to connect. I have a feeling that it has something to to do with the air intake as it has been replaced with a cai. any help would be much appreciated. here are pics of the hose and the "f" shaped "tee"

I can see the pics now

What you need to do is take a picture from further away.

Everyone always takes them real up close but without the far away pictures we cannot get any bearing to where the item is.

Intake Air Resonator (IAR) Control Solenoid Valve, which was previously mounted on Resonator Chamber B (Part # 3 in first picture, which was probably removed).

See attached pics.

so whats my best option here, just let it continue to sit there under the cai and plug that open line? I know it still receiving vac pressure because i could feel it when i stuck my finger over it. I have it plugged at the moment, so again is this my best option?

Yes plug the line.

It is a shame that it wasn't plugged when the CAI was installed as it allowed unmetered air
into the motor which makes it run bad.

This is why it is always preferred to buy a car that is all stock and hasn't been modified.

strange enough when i bought it it ran great then just recently its had a loss of power, i changed the spark plugs, put on a new air filter, cleaned the throttle body and plugged that line and it seems to be doing better.
