Default Which Part# for 2003 Accord EX O2 Sensor?

I have a 2003 Accord Ex 4 cyl AT, that needs a secondary O2 sensor; the one on the cat converter. How do I tell which is the exact replacement part#? there are a couple of these available on Amazon that fit my vehicle. the part# that I think is the correct one is Denso 234-4797. Anyone else use this? thanks.

Is this California emission or not? Probably not needed; but, 2 door or 4 door?

I do see different part numbers for coupe vs. sedan, so that info. is also needed in addition to whether it is California emission or not.

For a USA built, 2003 EX, 4 cylinder, AT with 4 doors, the Honda part number is 36532-RAA-A01, which cross references Denso 234-4797. So, the number you had in the first post is correct.

Just make sure your Accord is USA built which you can tell from the beginning VIN letters (J for Japan, built etc.).

Just checked again, the rear for the 2003 4-door EX with AT is that same part number for both Japan and USA built. So, you should be good to go.

Thanks alot for your help!. One more question; the CEL should go out by itself after installing the new sensor. Correct? Or does it require resetting it? After replacing an O2 sensor in my 2004 CRV, the light immediately went out.

It has been known to stay on afterward. After replacement, you may need to have the code cleared with a scanner/reader as the newer Hondas have non-volatile memory that retain the memory even without power. However, the way the ECM/PCM works is if in several consecutive drive cycles it no longer detects the problems, it may eventually clear. But, it may clear more quickly if no problems are detected.

Got the sensor from Amazon; $48. Don't have ramps or jack stands. So, went to a local gas station service guy who installed it for $50. No more CEL. Well worth it. Honda dealer quoted me a price estimate of $150 for labor and $295 for the sensor. No Surprise.
