Default A/C - warm low pressure line and cold high pressure line

Hello,

1996 Accord LX, 2.2L, Automatic Transmission

Just replaced the A/C compressor with a new one. The old one went bad at the end of last summer but I did not replace it until now.
The strange behavior is that the low pressure line (the thicker one) is getting warm and the high pressure line (the thinner one) is getting cold, which is backwards in my opinion. I have noticed that the pressure on the low pressure line goes slowly towards zero during the cooling process. The system blows cold air, but not as cold it used to be.
What else do I need to replace in order to restore the normal parameters for A/C?

Thanks

What are the high and low side pressure readings when the compressor is on?

Cooling on the small High Pressure line likely results from a restriction, usually the receiver/drier.

Did you install a new compressor and not replace the receiver/drier? This is component that protects against moisture.

good luck

I do not have the readings for pressure on those two lines. My mechanic told me that the high pressure is normal, and the low one is kind of low.
I did not replace any other part besides of the Compressor.
