Unhappy Need help with 95 honda accord 2.2l lx

please help, im having problems with my 95 hond accord 2.2l lx manual

i get into my car turn it to the on position and crank it up, it starts up and dies immediately.

immediately after dying with the key still in the "on" position i try to turn it over and it just continously cranks without starting up.

if i take the key out and try to start it back up it does the same thing, starts up and dies immediately.

Fuel Pump works, i hear the faint buzzin noise while in "on" position

the crazy part about it...that when the temperature cools down (night time/ very early morning)it would start up and run beautifully. this is whats stumping me

Pulled Codes in getting a CODE 15

BTW i live in hawaii

THINGS I HAVE CHECKED
-Main Relay (replace) i do hear the click after 2 secs while in the "on" position
-Battery(replaced)
-Throttle Body(cleaned)
-Checked distributor cap and made sure the wires going to the spark plugs are connected properly and in order.
-Checked blk/ylw 2p wire coming from the distributor.

Weird things im experiencing
- Sometimes during the cold weather it starts up good for about 1 min then dies, unless i give gas until its on operating temp, then it runs fine
-when i open gas cap lots of air rushes out with a SSsSSsSSssS noise
-Starts and dies immediately during hot weather.

PLEASE HELP

Code 15 usually is the Ignition Control Module (ICM) aka igniter. It can also have to do with the wiring or ECU; however, usually the ICM.

On many older Accords, the code 15 help question comes up pretty frequently on this and other Honda forums. Not necessarily every Honda; but, we see it a lot.

May not be relevant because its a ford O.o but my mustang started doing that when it started to get colder this past winter and it ended up being my fuel pump was going bad. You could still hear it come on, but it just wasn't getting the gas through like it should have. An if you think that might be a part of it, changing your fuel filter sometimes can make a world of difference too.

I repeat this story all the time. We have a '95 Accord and we had the same symptoms as you and the same code except it was far worse since it happened while we were driving on a road when it happened.

We ended up replacing the distributor and it resolved the problems for good. It's been years since then and it hasn't happened again. My hunch was either the ICM inside of the distributor went bad but on a post-mortem look inside I also noticed that the spinning dist. shaft had made contact with some of the wires inside the distributor and wore a flat edge into the rubber sleeving that exposed raw wiring inside over time. I think maybe it was shorting out because of that. Honda distributor related problems seem to be common especially for this vintage. Probably more due to age than anything, oil seals get worn out, ignition parts break down over time. I have no complaints, original dist. lasted us nearly 200,000 miles.

I don't think the fuel system is your problem. The CEL may mislead sometimes but in this case its pointing towards your ignition system so I would focus on the distributor and ICM inside of it given others experiences.

-i did all the diagnosis and troubleshooting for the vehicle
-getting spark (yellow) but still getting spark from both the distributor end and spark plug
-coil is getting spark
-replaced ICM, Dizzy Cap, and rotor
-checked connections for voltage and got good readings.
-checked line coming out of fuel pump to see if fuel is running, its good

now the problem kinda got worse...the engine wont even start during the night time when it usually starts . gahh...i need help with this i dont want to take it to a shop and overpay.

anyone got any ideas?

Have you tried checking for codes again? If so, is code 15 still present and are there other codes?
