I just recently installed my pioneer deh 4800MPradio and i did cut the wires from the original radio and connected them to the pioneer. It works perfectly. I noticed the other night that my dash wasnt coming on. When i installed the radio i noticed that two wires, red and red/black, were'nt needed. I'm assuming that this is my problem?

Check your fuses

 

i have checked the fuses and i even checked the dimmer light control. i have no idea what it could be.

 

I would check all your wiring. In all honesty you should have just bought a $7 wiring harness adapter. Red is usually power and black is usually ground so if nothing is working then it makes sense. However, I would check all your fuses. Put your year of Accord/model in your signature so we have a better idea what we are working with. On my 97 there is more than one fuse box.
