I recently got a 2001 honda accord sedan lx, the problem is the instrument panel lights will not turn on, when I go to to turn the head lights on I get nothing, and even tried playing with the dimmer ****. Anyways, the car was taken back to the dealership and the lights and fuses were all checked everything was good but still no lights, checked all the fuses myself they all are good, I read somewhere else that when a aftermarket stereo is installed sometimes the lights wont work because of a orange wire, I checked behind the cd player myself and have noticed that there is a orange wire that is not wired into the player. Now im stuck because I dont know what to do from here.....anybody know the answer ?

 

The years are different but still in the same generation. A member recently had almost the same issue.

thanks poorman, i got to get this problem solved quick, i got a little girl on the way soon i would hate to have to drive from the hospital not being able to see the dash lights!!!!

 

I am thinking of buying a factory radio and throwing it in and seeing what happens, if anyone thinks this could help plz let me know
