Default Need help turning my 03 accord to a commuter!

I have a 4 cylinder 03 accord with 91000 miles on it. I am commuting with this car about 108 miles round trip per day. I use Mobile 1 synthetic oil every 5000 miles. Should I extend the oil change intervals to 7,500 miles? Or even 10,000 mile intervals? Will it hurt or help me. Also....DoI need to have the 90000 mile service done??? Or is it just the dealer wanting money??? And last but not least....Honda reccomends me change the Timing belt and water pump at 105,000 miles, now can I say screw it and go until like 150,000 miles? Need your inputs.....thanks much, Mike

I believe that the 03's have a timing chain not a belt so it should be fine. As for oil, I change mine every 3000 miles, but since your commute is so long you're probably okay at 5000 providing that it's not blistering hot or dusty...

your car has an oil life indicator and it will tell you when it is time to change the oil. I change my oil every 5K and I use dino oil

No oil life indicator on the '03. I have an '04 EX-L/NAV V6 and I don't have one either. I think it's latr models ('06 on) that has that feature.

My '04 has 92k in three years and is currently having a major service. They wanted to flush the brake system (for an additional $90) and I said no. I change my oil about every 5k or so but most of my mileage is highway.
