new alternator ?
1995 Accord 2.7L
Ive been having pulsing with my Reman Denso Alternator. tried 2 different ones. same pulsing issues. I have a brand new battery in the car.
so I found a New Alternator online by BBB INDUSTRIES its $161. they are hard to come by so it seems as they were out of stock and seem to have just got a few in stock. anyone have any luck with this brand? should I expect to have better luck with a New versus a re manufactured part?
or just the fact that its NEW has an advantage over a Remanufactured. your thoughts. it is to my understanding the BBB Industries purchased REMY and then sold to a another company. I also see there is a AC/Delco Reman from Summit Auto. and
Parts Geek has a NEW from Autopart Premium. $120
I also found a NAPA New Alternator but its $400 with discount code - https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/NRO1N8690?ref=MA==
I also found a Duralast Gold NEW $222 - https://www.autozone.com/batteries-s...48n/764755_0_0
skeptical to put in another Remanufactured

You did some diagnostic work and it turned out to be the alternator correct ? Reason I ask is because i have installed
dozen upon dozen of the Reman Denso and never had an issue , maybe you came across a bad batch ?
There was never a pulsing issue before you replace alternator? What kind of pulsing are you experiencing?

lets assume the alternator is working correctly, and I have a new battery, what else would cause the pulsing on the cluster? sounds like you have electrical experience if you have installed many alternators.
I found a man locally who has 40 years experience in electrical but cant work on cars in his shop, he just rebuilds. but he lives in my town and said I can come to his house and he can run tests on the car. It will have to be after thanksgiving as I will be away.
thank you!
Many NAPA (Autozone and Oreillys) auto supply stores will test the battery/alternator system while in the vehicle.
A Denso rebuild should good. Many other aftermarket have been hit or miss. I followed the advice on another forum. I bought a used relatively low mileage Honda OEM from a junkyard and keep it as a standby unit. Came with a short warranty and cost approx $50 and had it tested right after purchase at both Autozone and Oreilly and it passed the tests.

This may not apply. When I replaced all the negative cables on my 2014 Accord the dash lights were noticeably brighter and this cured the alternator over charging
