1995 Accord LX Manual Transmission. Got a new clutch put in and it works great for about an hour then it starts to slip. Why would this occur? A non-mechanic friend mentioned something about loosening the Adjustable Linkage Rod because the break fluid is getting hot and causing the slipping. I said "whuh?". Any ideas out there?

 

You mean it begins working OK after cooling down?

When the clutch pedal is completely up, there's a vent that opens back to the reservoir. That allows pressure to equalize and the hydraulic system to adjust as the clutch wears out. If the pushrod from the pedal is too long, that vent doesn't open. So a temperature increase in the hydraulic fluid will act just like pressing the pedal down slightly.

I don't have a 95 shop manual, but you should be able to find a similar year over in the DIY section - in a sticky thread about on-line manuals. Follow the adjustment for clutch-pedal height, and don't make your own personal adjustments for higher or lower pedal.
