hy all new here have a 1995 honda accord ex 2.2 vtec coup.
with dome light and door alarm problem the problem is of corse when i open the door ether side the alarm dont go off. but it works when u try to open trunk or start the car.
and the dome light dont work at all at switch or when open ether door.o ya sry ment to say it has an affter market alarm auto page and a affter market stereo to

Do the "door open" lights on the dash come on when the door is open?

 

sry fore late reply lol ben working but nope when the door open only the light around the key
and the door markers but no dome light or alarm .got the dome light to work when the switch is slid to the on position but nether of them work when the door opens dome light or alarm

 

ok didnt get the door light on the dash thing so dieside to check it only works wen the car is running so ya it works inless it soposed to work wen cars off. But the dome light or door alarm dosnt work runing or off when the door is opened

 

The dash "warning" for the door open will only work when the key is "on" - engine does not need to be running.

Since the 94 coupe did not come with a factory alarm - dealer install or aftermarket - this might be a bit of fun to figure out.

When the door is open, the door jam switch sends a "ground signal". Since the light in the door comes on but not on the dash (KO) then there is a break in the ground somewhere.

 

cool ty and sry fore late reply ben busy but one other question before i go and serch fore open ground.What the gray plug with orage and blackwhite wire.i know it the door lock triger but is it soposed to plug into another end because it just hanging there where they taped into it and ran to the other plug fore accesserys.
