Unhappy new member with a problem...Belongs In Genl Tech Guys :

Hello everyone! I have a 2000 LX and tonight I noticed the speedometer wasn't working. I was just guessing my speed based on the tachometer. After about 10 minutes, the check engine light came on. She seemed to be running ok otherwise, until I got to a red light. The idle is horrible - feels like I'm about to stall. I realize she's 10 years old, but I thought she had at least a few more years! Any ideas as to what this could be? Any advice would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

doublen

Go to some AutoZone-type place & have them read the error code that's stored for the check-engine light. Get the actual code number (for example P1234) 'cause sometimes the guy's explanation can be pretty creative.
