Unhappy New owner of a 94 Honda accord EX

Hello everyone, I am new to the forums and a Honda owner. This is my first Honda I've ever owned in my life. I have a question I'm pretty sure this has been asked before but I haven't browsed through everything yet, and being a female ibdont want to take my car to the shop because they will just try a d jack me for my money. Here's the question... When I turn on my heater and defroster only cold air blows out. Also my rear defroster doesn't work. I don't have any leaking inside the car cause I know that means my heater core went out. So what else could be the cause??? Please help cause it sucks driving in the cold...

No heat may be due to heater valve or clogged heater core. When you turn the heater control inside, take a look whether the heater valve in the engine compartment moves (the valve is at the back of the engine compartment).

Also, when the car is warmed up, feel the hoses on both sides of the heater valve. Check after the engine is turned off. Are they hot?

Welcome to Honda ownership! These things last forever!

Check your antifreeze level, that could cause a no heat issue (vehicle doesn't necessarily have to overheat to tell you it's low).
