Default new poster... have a couple of questions though

First of all, hello to all. I just bought a 96 accord lx auto yesterday. I have a question concerning locking the door with the master lock switch on the door panel. When I get out of the car and then push down on the lock switch to lock all the doors, the drivers side lock comes back up after about 2 seconds. Why is this? What is holding it out from staying locked??? In order for the me lock the door (without using the key manually), I have to hit the master switch to lock and then close the door really really quick in order for it to not pop back up. Just wondering why this is. Thanks.

Well the reason is to keep you from locking the key in the car.
You can hold the latch and lock the locks, then close the door; If you want to lock your keys in.
All hondas were like that until 98 when the american people all whined and cried to JD Powers that they want Hondas to be Chevys.
