Default New problem after starting

Got her started……………………

Now I have gas spewing back into the air breather from the vent tube on top of the valve cover.

I don’t know if gas is coming up through the head and spewing into the air breather (through the vent breather tube) or if gas is pressurizing in the tube and spitting itself back into the air breather.

Please tell me one of you guys have experienced this so I can have some direction or guidance on this.

I've never seen anything like this before.

Thanks…….

By "gas" do you mean crankcase vapor/air? Is it coming into air intake duct through PCV air inlet?

good luck

Yes, after I get the car started, I have to mash the pedal down to keep her running and then after about 30 seconds a ton of gas just starts spewing from the crankcase air breather tube (from the top of the valve cover) back into the airbox drenching the air filter and pouring everywhere.

Gasoline or oil/blowby mixture? We can't see what you see, you have to tell us!

good luck

What year/engine are you working on?

OP has another post about this - I'm going to lock this one.
