This could mean poor battery connections, weak battery, of bad starter solenoid contacts.

Check battery connections for clean, secure connection.

Check battery voltage after 4-5 days. Batterys sometimes develop internal shorts that pull the voltage down after some time.

If connections and battery check OK, then starter may have weak solenoid contacts. This will cause the starter to click, even w/ a good strong battery.

good luck

Does jump starting the battery allow the car to start?

Since you have a new battery, something is drawing current from the battery and draining it.

You will need a volt meter to test for amps. Then you will start pulling fuses to isolate what is drawing the current from your battery.

Copy and past this into your browser to see how to use the volt meter to find the draw.

Once you find out how much current is being drawn, I would unplug the alternator to see if that is drawing current, then move to pulling fuses to isolate the draw.
