Just purchased an 08 Accord Ex. The only thing i will miss is the outside temp display? I am sure I can purchase something after market, but does anyone know if there is any thing I can purchase from Honda and install myself that will show the temp in the info stack? Or would I have to have the whole thing changed out? Thanks

Ok Wheelbroker, might you have an answer to my question now that we are in the right forum?

 

i'm pretty sure your car has an outside air temp already installed. you have to cycle through the gauge screens to see it. read your owners manual.

yea i read the 08s already have em. Look through some of the features, press some buttons. I mean EX is the luxury model, i wouldnt be surprised if the LX didnt have it, but the EX most likely does.

 

Thanks for the response Naf Actually I checked the manual, and it looks like you need to have the EX-L to get the outside temp option I know I don't have it My question is if anyone knows if it is just a matter of going to the dealership and having them add maybe the (sensor) and a little programming and it works? Or, if it just isn't going to happen unless you purchase at least the EX-L model? Thanks

 

most likely your only option is to either get an EX-L or replace the entire unit. I could be wrong though.
