Default New to this site.. Hello

I just joined in hopes to get help on my recent purchase of 98 Accord ex 4 cyl, automatic.

Not sure if it is okay to ask here on my first thread.

If it is not proper, please excuse me.

I am having a problem with vent position change.
Everything seems be working on control panel. It lights up with position selected , a/c , heater and fan motor speed works fine.

But it just blow air through floor and front vent whether i switch to front, floor or winshiel only.

Any idea?
I tried reading a lot of threads but can not seem to find exact answer.

Thank you

I think you'll have to remove some trim panels to get to the heater box way forwards in the console. Maybe the panel that's right alongside the driver's right foot?

The heater assembly is back in there, and the "mode motor" is #5 in the picture. That moves the air dampers to direct air to the different outlets. Does it run when you select different air-outlet directions? If so, is the little pushrod disconnected? Anything else broken that you can see down there?

Otherwise, if that mode motor doesn't run, look for loose wiring harness plugs?
