Newbie with '94 Accord LX that won't start.
Greetings all.
I just joined, and i hope this question is appropriate and in the right place, etc. I apologize in advance that i am unfortunately pretty clueless when it comes to cars.
My bulletproof 1994 Accord LX sat for many months, and then when i went to resuscitate it, naturally wouldn't start. It didn't turn over at all, not even a click. Put a new battery in it, which helped as it seemed like it wanted to crank, but still not turning over.
As a fluke, somebody at the house looked at it and spotted a connection that was hanging loose, unconnected at one end. He moved it a bit and suddenly the car cranked! It was like some sort of magic, but unfortunately it's not consistent in starting the car.
I don't know what to call this little connector, which doesn't seem, to my inexperienced eyes, to line up properly to connect to anything. I have taken a couple of digital images of this area under the hood in the hopes that folks here may be able to help me with this.
Is it best to post a link to the pics? If so, here it is:

I'll also try and insert one of the images:

Many, many thanks in advance. I'm really in a tough spot here with this car, and hopeful you can help.
Cheers,

In this pic, the coil is connected at the center of the pic, and running straight down the middle of the image, disappearing, unconnected, toward the bottom-center of the pic.
Thanks!

I'm sorry, i just don't see ANYthing to connect it to. There are four black wires (spark plugs?) that converge on one vertical face of what i guess is the distributor (cap?), but there is nothing else between them, no post or anything i can see to connect anything to.
I appreciate your efforts, but i just don't see anything.
thanks,
