Hi - newbie here with questions on my 55 plate Accord 2.0 VTEC.
Love the car - bought it 2 months ago and so far very pleased. I have however got two things that I would like ot research before my year's Honda warranty runs out ....
1) I find the engine revs seem to drop very quickly especially when changing gear - and so gear changes between 1st and 2nd especially seem jerky - especially on a cold engine. Is this a fuelling / Injection problem or just typical of a modern Honda ?
2) I recently noticed that when I put on the power in 3rd - at nearly 3k revs I get a funny "bearing or high pitched rattle" noise under load. It only happens at those revs - otherwise it is quiet ? I thought it was a main gearbox bearing OR just a heat shield vibrating - so asked Honda to check it out. They told me it was just a resonating vibration from the exhaust box casued by rusting baffles in the middle box ? Does these sound reasonable or are they having me on ... ? Sounds more to me like a bearing .... ?
