Thumbs down No passing gear

Hello
I have a 95 accord ex wagon vtec engine. Today I noticed going up a steep hill the transmission didn't kick down and stayed in high gear. Car no longer will go into passing gear. Car seems to shift okay from stop and not slipping. I recently had the front motor mount replaced, but can't see how anything they did would affect this problem.

Thanks
Bud

Check for any error codes stored in the ECU and TCU. Look at the link in ACC 5th gen.... in the DIY Section. Count the Check engine light for ECU codes and the D4 light for TCU codes.

Have you changed the ATF fluid? Use the honda tranny fluid.

It has been some time on the tranmission fluid change. Does this have two plugs for checking the codes. Will try to check your suggestions sunday. Thanks for your reply, much appreciated.

There is a cable going from the throttle body to the transmission PRESSURE LEVER on the front side of the trans, I would check to see if it has been disturbed.

Lubricated throttle linkage and transmission linkage lever. Transmission fluid level was okay, but will change with fresh fluid. Test drove and passing gear is now working. Hope this isn't temporary. Thanks again for all your help on what to look for.
