Default No spark on 97 4 cyl

Have no spark in 97 4 cyl. Pulled a plug, grounded it , no spark. Same test, different car, have spark. Car was on the road when it died. Was accelerating on an entrance ramp and suddenly no power. Car has not started since. Did these cars have any common problem's with loosing spark? Have the shop manual and will begin testing various parts, but looking for advice on what may be the culprit. Thank You

Start by checking for battery power at the Black/yellow wire of the dist. with the key on.
That proves the ignition switch; then Desert Honda has a post in DIY forum to help you test the coil / ignitor using a test light.

Coil tested out OK using resistance check,. Igniter was tested at auto parts store, said it was bad, ordered new one, put in new one, no change. We still have no spark. What next?

I am assuming you checked the timing belt to make sure that it did not brake ..... correct ??

if t-belt is ok, and ignitor is new , and you get no spark .. chk to see if you get spark out of the coil.if not you got a bad coil... if you do ,,chk the distr rotor ..
