It's a wagon btw, not sure if that matters.

Looking at the Honda parts site, only the 96 wagon ecu from a LX with an automatic transmission will work on your car.

Here is an updated part number that will work too. 37820-P0J-317

Thanks for the advice. It looks like they cost more than the whole car. Any good way to test mine to be positive thats the issue?

Also, I'm assuming it's the ECU. There was a lot of water on the floor. Prior to that the car was running okay. I did a tune up, cap, rotor, wires, plugs, thermostat. After sitting overnight(after the water spill) it wont start again. It cranks nice, fuel pump relay clicks(twice) and the fuel pump can be heard.

I have spark, the engine sputters a little like it wants to start. Anything else I should try before dropping the cash on an ECU?

Is the ECU still wet? It's pretty easy to take it out of the car, open the case, and let it dry out if it's still wet.

A sedan/coupe ECU can be used with a minor external wiring modification. This page has a table that shows compatible ECU part numbers:

pennybaker(dot)com/ody/sb/SB%2001-012(dot)pdf

This page shows the mod:

accordwagonclub(dot)com/forum/viewtopic(dot)php?f=84&t=11876&p=97492&hilit=pot#p 97492

Without the mod a wagon will run fine on a sedan/coupe ECU but it will throw a CEL.

Its not the fuel pump relay. I bought a new one and that didn't solve the issue. On the fuel rail, when I loosen the small nut/valve on top at the drivers side should there be a bunch of pressure?

No the ecu is not wet. I pulled it out and it looks okay.
