Default O2 Sensor

CEL came on, says i need a new O2 sensor, the one in the exhaust manifold.
Is that something I NEED, or can i go without one.

The O2 sensor on the exhaust manifold is used for emissions and fuel trim.

Your car will still run and probably use more gas. If you live in a state where emissions are tested, you will have to replace the sensor.

I would probably diagnose first. In the DIY section, you can download a shop manual from the Online Manuals link. Spoon honda has a 94 shop manual.

Do the resistance readings on the sensor to see if they are in range. That information should be in the fuel section then self diagnostic procedures. Look for the diagnostic pages for error code 41.

There's 4 different error codes for the front O2 sensor, it would be good to know which one.

High voltage
Low voltage
Sluggish
Heater circuit

What's the actual error code number?
