Default Odd squeaking sound

Hello all, been working a lot and the honda is still my workhorse, but a potential issue is creeping up.

For theast 3 days when driving, if i go to make a turn (left or right) i am getting an occasional squeaking sound, much akin to a like a squeaky door or the like that sounds like some WD-40 would fix. I am at a loss as the car is showing no other signs of anything wrong. PS fluid is full, pump and belt are also both intact.

Check the ball joints. They can cause a noise when turning.

will do. I might add (as I just thought of it) that the sound sounds like it is inside the driver's compartment, and not from the outside. almost like the steering wheel itself has developed a squeak.

Well, that could be....yes I was assuming under the hood.

Noises are hard to describe.....

If it is like a metalic squeak, then I'd be with checking the ball joints.

If it is like a plastic squeak, then the shroud(s) around the steering wheel could cause this.

Again, the difference in the sounds is hard for me to even describe

yeah its odd. I can distinguish between under hood and in cabin noises, and it def. sounds more in the cabin.

ok, an update. the noise is not a constant, but it did make it a few times yesterday. this morning I went to check my oil, and I noticed that my PS reservoir was wet with fluid, not enough to affect the level, but like some had "burped" out of the cap.

Could be there is a blockage or leak in the system that causes the fluid to foam up and out of the res......could the noise be a belt slipping? What did/does the under side of the hood look like....about where the pump and res would be when closed.

its just the res that seems to have any liquid on it, nothing else looks like it has been sprayed. I crawled up under it yesterday, all of the balljoints, steering arms, cv's look intact.
