Default Oil Change Now?

OK. I have a 2009 Accord Coupe with 1500 miles on the clock. I just received a reminder from my dealer to service the car. What service if any should they do? Mobil1 a good choice for future oil changes? Thanks

At 1500 miles I would not do anything unless it was covered under warranty and they paid for it, such as a safety recall or something like that.

I have used Mobil 1 with good success, but I think you want to go a few thousand miles with your original oil during the break-in period before switching.

x2 on driving more miles on the break-in oil. Just because they sent you the reminder doesn't mean it needs to be serviced. Look in the manual in the maintenance section to find out when the first service is.

A little note: Mobil1 and the Honda Genuine Oil (Mobil1) is the only oil that won't void Hondas warranty. I dont know how they enforce it though. I personally use Mobil1 oil and filters on all my cars and theyre all out of warranty...
