Default Oil Level

Just bought a 97 Accord SE with the 2.2L engine.

The oil was changed by a shop a few weeks ago. I pulled the dipstick today and the level was about a 1/2 inch above the top mark. My question is do you think this is too high and will it cause any issues. Also when I left my buddies house he said there was and oil spot on his driveway about the size of a silver dollar, was only there about a half hour.

This weekend plan on changing air filter, plugs, pcv, cap, rotor, etc. and also looking for any oil leaks.

Any ideas or suggestions would be great!

Thanks all.

Pull and dump out the filter. Then replace and recheck.

Check the plug for leakage. Common if the crush washer wasn't changed.
