I have a '97 Accord LX, which is running fine. I just think it may be time to put in a new battery. In some of the other cars that I have owned in the past, I replaced the OEM battery with an Optima. I was just wondering if anyone here had any experiences with using an Optima in our Accords?

I have no problem with the OEM type, like I said... I am just wondering.

Optimas are great, but unless your running lots of power, you really have no use for one.

 

Our MDX was having starting issues so we threw a Red Top in and it works great, but overkill for most drivers. I have a Die Hard in now and had a Duralast in my other Accord. Both work great!

I always go with the Duralast that carries the lifetime warranty from AutoZone if I ever need a replacement battery

 

Yeah, I've had good experiences with Duralast batteries. $80 for a great battery and a lifetime warranty is a lot more practical that $200 for overkill.
