Default RE: organic brake pads

Metallic- Has alot of brake dust, minor wear on the rotor.
Semi Metallic- Has average ammount of brake dust, average wear on the rotor
Ceramic - Next to no brake dust, uses more the average wear on the rotor (will have to get new rotors when you change pads)
Organic - extremly little brake dust, will have to replace rotors before you replace the pads.

Hope this helps. OEM replacment on MOST cars is Semi-Metallic, its a combination of Metallic and Ceramic.
