Default p0171, p0170, p1297

I have all these codes now. It happened 50 miles after I refilled my car with unleaded regular after seeing for two tanks how my car reacted to non ethanol premium. so no code with the premium, codes 50 miles after the unleaded regular. Any relation?

And should I just change out the ELD? I hear I have to get the entire fuse box. Is that right? Or how do I replace it? Its kinda hard to find info on this since the issue is mostly on civics.

Don't know about the 170,171. Wouldn't think that fuel could confuse the system, but how about clearing it, & waiting to see if it comes back.

I always thought the ELD was built into the fusebox & not available separately. But still, you can check wiring connections first.

I thought the two were together but which fuse box? and should I replace the whole thing? I got the codes before except for the 0170. I think theyre both related to the ELD. Maybe that just has to be replaced?

P0171 is fuel (too lean) & somehow P0170 just tags along together with 171. So it might be the front O2 sensor getting lazy? Seems like the system shouldn't get confused by using premium fuel for a tank or 2. But those shouldn't be related to the ELD.

I don't know which fusebox has the ELD - I figure the main one in the engine compartment? I think it measures the full electrical load except starter, so it would be together with those larger bolt-in fuses. Looking at parts drawings, I couldn't tell for sure what I was looking at.

Ok. Ill look around. Unfortunately ELD issues on the 5th gen accords are hard to come by. Theres a lot of info on the civics. Its not in my haynes manual. I did a once over on the electrical connections.

I found online a thread about a guy who had a p1297 (the only thread I can find on it and not 1298) and he said he reconnected a ground at the thermostat housing and that fixed it. It was on a 97 prelude. I dont know how similar that would be. What grounds could I look for specifically that I may have disconnected during my intake manifold swap? Theres one directly on the intake manifold.

P1297 ELD low voltage
P1298 ELD high voltage
Seems like threads about P1298 might be helpful too, even though not exactly the same.

Carefully check those ground wires. I had a problem (Jetta, long time ago) where a ground wire had broken inside it's own insulation. It looked good, but as it moved around it would sometimes disconnect. That would've been easy to fix but it took me a long time before I figured out what was really going on.

Ok. Ill be sure to look inside the grounds as well. I just have to find out what grounds are supposed to be on or near the intake for starters. But the 1298s are a bit different- I did read the threads but there are different solutions and different symptoms. But I do find my dashboard does act a bit funny sometimes so theres a symptom. It may just be a ground that I did not connect correctly during the intake manifold swap.

The image changes everytime the page refreshes but i saw it.

Thanks. I couldnt find an exact location but I figured it was somewhere in there. Is that a 5th gen accord fusebox?

I couldnt find any missing ground connections. But from what I've seen in my car, there arent very many under the hood. I count 3- that ive at least needed to secure in the past. I'm trying to find a diagram with all the grounds. But I may have to end up going through all the wiring diagrams.
