Ok....I have the 99 accord....I just swap in the f20b n the f20b ecu....n after getting it to run...when it goes thru the gears its real sluggish ...I have the cel on...so when I took it to get the code it came up with one code..p1696...I guess that's the pm code...so what should I do? Get another f20b ecu?

the motor is a yr 2000 comes out of the honda accord sir....the ecu is the same yr

 

P1696 PCM Failure EEPROM Write Denied .........that is what the code means....im just not sure about do i now have to change the ecu?

 

that may be what the generic code is but the o.e. website is not showing any such code for 99 or 00

 

well i put the old ecu (f23 ecu ) back in my car...n the tranny runs good...but the motor doesnt cuz it doesnt have the correct base map......so it makes sense that the pcm is bad.....cuz the f20b ecu makes the tranny run real sluggish ...hesitation........
