P1753 code when testing CEL

Default P1753 code when testing CEL

i looked up the code online and it says its a problem in Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid Valve Circuit Comprehensive. Does anyone know what that means and what i should look for ?

Check the two-pin connection going to the solenoid on the tranny in the pic below.

The resistance between the two pins should be between 12-24 ohms.

You can get a 94 accord shop manual from Online Manuals thread in the DIY section. That will have the proper info for testing/replacement of the tranny solenoid. The only difference is that the code numbers are different for a 94 (OBD1) vs the 97 (OBD2). Everything else is pretty much the same.

You may also just have to clean that screen and solenoid with some throttle body cleaner. It may have gotten clogged over time.

i will check the connector and may try and take off the solenoids and clean them. Will i need a new gasket ? Can you get those at autozone or a parts store or do you have to from Honda ?
