Please help trying to help a broke kid
1998 11/97 Accord lx 2.3 auto. So I'm trying to help a high school kid out he has this beater trying to make it last. I replace the rear main seal frt pump seal and axel boots reassembled car and now it wont accelerate meaning no power at all just bogs down in or out of gear ck codes had a stored code for tps replaced it still same no other codes stored it will idle fine as soon as you give it any throttle it will either surge or die I have gone overt every connector I touched nothing is loose or disconnected been doing this a long time but mostly old school cars every now and then it will rev but immediately shuts back down going crazy any ideas never had an issue like this before .

You have a connector wired backward on the transmission. Some of these connectors on the Honda's can plug into a wrong connector. [usually most car makers make sure that a connector can ONLY plug into the correct connecter, but Honda for some reason don't do it with the trans connectors].
Also, you just might have the shifter lever at the transmission adjusted just a bit off.

What are the colors of the three wires going to the TPS?
If the car was fine before. Then during the work you removed the connectors from the TPS and MAP sensor....then after the initial work this new issue showed up.....It is possible to switch the MAP and TPS connectors on 5th AND 6th gen 4 cyl Accords. If this happens, the car will act almost exactly as your description. Just my two cents and costs you nothing but telling us the color or the wires going to the TPS or MAP
