Default Plugs and wires for 96 Accord 4 cyl

What brand of plugs seem to do the best in a regular 4 cyl honda accord. Non vortec. Also under the hood it says gap is 1.1 mm , what it this in inchs , like 28 to 30 thousants or what.

use NGK ZFR5F-11 gap specs .038-.042 in, gap them at the smallest setting ( .038 in ) as plug gap gets wider as they wear.

Plug wires,,,,, use honda factory plug wires ,, they are very good and they last a long long time

Clean up the wires & keep them. Chances are your new ones will wear out then put the factory ones back on. Unless you have lots of mods, the factory plugs & wires are very good.

What kind of new wires did you get? NGK wiresare also supposed to be very good.

The plugs come pre-gapped, so don't go crazy with a gap tool. Simply check the gap. They should all be withing the correct specs already. You can get a gap tool for like $0.50 at AutoZone if you don't already have one.

I put off-brand plug wires from AutoZone on my Honda and the darned things went out after less thansix months.....I would suggest spending a little more and at least getting name brand wires, if not Honda.

Sumomito is OEM, I've been told. I haven't replaced mine, but I think they are pretty pricey
