Default Power Steering leak - unable to locate source

'88 Accord LXi coupe, auto trans (for now...)

I was preparing to replace the timing belt, but I noticed I have a power steering leak and want to fix that first. The problem is, I can't figure out what's leaking.

The leak appears to be coming from the bottom or back of the pump, but there is nothing there to leak. The two hose connections are dry and are not leaking. It almost seems to be coming out of the pump itself.

Is it possible for the pulley shaft seals (if they exist) to leak? I almost picked up a used pump at the pick-n-pull but every one I found looked like it was leaking just like mine.

326K miles and this is the ONLY thing that leaks. I effing love this car! Maybe the autocross put a little too much strain on the PS pump? I have no problems buying a new/remanufactured one, but I want to make sure this solves the problem.

Has anyone else encountered similar problems?

sounds like the frt seal is leaking,,,,,,,,,get a p/s pump seal kit from dealer , take it all apart and replace all the seals ,,,also get the o-ring that goes to the pressure hose ..
