When using the one-touch feature of my driver door window, the window goes up, closes then lowers about 3 inches. If I keep my finger on the switch it closes normally.

My dealer says that while the problem is only with the controller module, the entire assembly must be replaced since the module is not available separately. This is a $550+ job! Various Honda parts vendor web sites show the lift/regulator assembly at about $250.

Is there any alternative to this? Right now it's just an inconvenience but at some point it may fail entirely.
