Default Power Windows

1994 Accord... the power windows aren't working so well.... I've found that if I stop the car and just sit there and try to put them up at idle the drivers side goes up to about 1/4" from the rubber seal and then stops, no noises nothing, if I roll it back down and try again usually the same issue happens, however if I rev the engine to around 2-3k then do it they go up fine... I'm guessing a voltage regulator or something?

Also, my passenger side window switch is wired backwards so down is up, up is down... I'm guessing I can fix both issues in one shot?

Any suggestions on these issues? I did some further testing and it seems to be a more prevelant problem on the driver side than the passenger if that helps any....

yea the drivers side motor just usually gets the most use so it goes out first. the motor is just old and doesnt have the power that it once had. its about 100 bucks to change it out your self

is that from a junk yard or new? I suppose I'll just buy one soon and pull the door panels and do it... do you think I could reverse the wiring for the passenger side switch from there or will I have to pull the passenger door as well?

yea brand new from checker its like 100- 120 bucks. just take the door panel off, and unscrew the glass from the regulator and then pull the whole regulator off. ive done this many times let me know if you have any questions. i have a question for you. is the switch reversed just from the drivers door, or it it also mixed up with the passenger side switch also. if its just the drivers switch then it can be fixed from the drivers side. if the pass switch is also messed up you might have the problem in the passenger side.

both sides are screwey.... I'm guessing it's reversed at the passenger side motor based on what you said etc.... If I do it I'll post pictures/steps.... Cash is a bit tight right now so It's another "future idea..." lister..
